An orange was frozen and cut on a meat slicer into 1/8" thick slices. Each slice was scanned front and back and output on adhesive vinyl. The vinyl was adhered to squares of museum board and bound into an accordion fold book with a page thickness of exactly 1/8".
The cover is held shut with embedded ceramic magnets.
